Money In The Wind

Jul 30th, 2007 | By chef | Category: Self Condition

I was sitting in a restaurant famous for its homemade pies, waiting for my culinary delight. As I was waiting for my order, I looked out the window and noticed a currency bill of unknown denomination gently floating across the parking lot, nudged forward by the wind. Several people were walking toward the restaurant. The bill drifted slowly past the first two people. They were in such a hurry and so busy talking, they never noticed. Next, it wrapped itself around a young man’s legs. He kept walking, digging in his wallet. It stuck to him like Velcro. He never slowed nor did he look down. Eventually, the wind pushed the currency out of view. I thought to myself, God is trying to bless these people with some money, and they don’t even notice! Aren’t a lot of us like that? We’re so busy trying to acquire money, spend money, manage money that we fail to notice the opportunities for increase God sends our way.

But you know what? I had seen that money! I went outside and found the $1 stuck in a fence. It paid the tip on that piece of pie!
