The Dream
Nov 12th, 2007 | By Doc | Category: Dreams, WarningsEven though doctors said we could never naturally have another child, my wife became pregnant in the fall of 1998. We were very happy as we had been trying for eight years. All was going well on New Year’s Eve of 1999. We were watching that show, ER, when my wife suddenly said, “I don’t feel too good; I need to go to the emergency room”.
Her blood pressure was way up. The doctor came out and said we had two choices: deliver the baby at five months or risk losing both of them. Tammy’s liver was swelling. I didn’t have to think about it because I had had a dream several months before that my wife died. How? Swelling in her liver killed her. Believing the dream to be a warning from God, I did not hesitate but agreed to the emergency C-section.
Our daughter was less than two pounds when delivered. Her esophagus was not attached to her stomach and that required surgery. She remained in ICU. One day as I was showering I heard God say, “You will receive some alarming news but don’t believe it”. Later that day the hospital called. The doctors said little Jessie’s brain was hemorrhaging. But I remembered what God told me in the shower, and I kept my peace. Later in the day, the hemorrhaging stopped.
Jessie is now a healthy nine year old, and three years ago, God blessed us with another child, our son Jared.
