Saw Himself Dead
Dec 9th, 2007 | By sugarcaine | Category: DeathThis is a story that my deceased stepfather, Lee M., told me. He was admitted into the hospital for a heart attack. While he was in ICU, he experienced another heart attack. He told me that the doctors and nurses were there checking him out. He heard one of them say, “We’re losing him” and he looked over to the heart monitor expecting to see it dropping. He told me that he was surprised to see it was a flat line and said 0 (zero). Then he was out of his body, up above the doctors and nurses, by the ceiling, watching them work on his body. He could see his body lying there and he said his mouth was wide open.
He lived three years after that. It’s been sixteen years ago, and I can’t remember anything else he said.
I had a miscarriage early during a pregnancy many years ago and had an unusual experience at the hospital when I was waking up. I suppose it was drug induced due to the anesthesia. However…some of you may remember the Superman movie that had the villans trapped in something like a plane of glass and they were being exiled into outer space? Well, my experience happened before that movie ever came out and I saw myself trapped in a square pane of glass just like the one the villans were in. The pane of glass was tumbling through black space, hands were pressed against the inside of it, and I was screaming a “silent scream”. I was terrified and I was very glad to wake up!
A few months later someone asked me if I had ever been born again, meaning born into God’s kingdom and family. I accepted Jesus Christ as my savior and spirit guide. I think God used that experience to get my attention about my soul’s condition. It was the worst feeling I have ever had. But, the Bible says that God uses the foolish things of man to confound the wise…and all things work together for good to them that are the called. I really knew He was calling me to look at my life and make some better decisions!
