My mom and dad were divorced for 25 years before his death two years ago. About two months after he died unexpectedly, my mother called. She had dreamed a very vivid dream about him. He was standing in the brightest light she had ever seen. He motioned to her and asked, “When are you coming?”

She was afraid because she thought he meant she would die soon and woke up quickly. I thought about it a few minutes and voiced a different take on it. My dad was a Christian when he died, and even though it hurt a lot, I know I will see him again in heaven. My mother, on the other hand, is not a Christian. I told her I thought the dream meant he was asking her when she was going to change that so she could be in heaven with us. She said that may be so.
